University/College Refund Investigation

Liddle & Dubin, P.C’'s consumer attorneys are currently investigating a class action against the colleges and universities regarding their failure to provide refunds to its students.

As a result of COVID-19, many universities suspended in-person on-campus activities. They also barred students from entering the campus for the remainder of the spring semester.

Although universities have offered online academic instructions, many students are being charged for services that they no longer have access to such as:

a. Student Activity Fee
b. Athletic Fee
c. Wellness Center Fee
d. Student Health and Counseling Centers Fees
e. Student Center Fee

Despite no longer providing important educational services to their students, it appears that the universities have not issued refunds to their students.

It appears that some universities have also not refunded room and board costs to their students.
