ArcelorMittal Monessen Coke Facility Class Action Settlement

A class action settlement is pending with ArcelorMittal Monessen LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ArcelorMittal USA, Inc. ("Defendant") in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

The lawsuit was brought by Viktoryia Maroz and Edward Tolliver ("Plaintiffs") against the Defendant seeking property damages (not personal injuries).  Plaintiffs asserted various legal claims against the Defendant, based on the allegation that the noxious odors and air particulates ("emissions") were emitted by Defendant's facility, located at 345 Donner Avenue, Monessen, Pennsylvania 15062, and impacted nearby properties.

Dearborn 2013 Floods Class Action Settlement

A settlement has been reached with the City of Dearborn to resolve claims arising from the July 8/9, 2013 and July 15, 2013 flooding in the City of Dearborn, Michigan.

On March 2, 2016, the Court issued an Order granting Preliminary Approval of the Class Action Settlement. The Court still has to decide whether to approve the settlement. Payments will only be made if the Court finally approves the settlement and after appeals, if any, are resolved.
